Step 1

Press “Heated Dry” or “Air Dry” from the control panel until the Lock Button lights up. In this point, you will notice “Locked” in the display.

Step 2

Keep in mind that any button you press will flash 4 times when the machine is in the lock mode. But they won’t work.

Step 3

Now, press the “Heated Dry” or “Air Dry” button for 4 seconds. It will unlock your dishwasher’s control panel and the light should go off.

Troubleshoot Your Elite Dishwasher’s Lock Mode

When your Kenmore elite dishwasher is locked and you press any button, it will flash four times. If the buttons continue flashing, it means the button is stuck. Until the button gets unstuck, you can’t release Lock Mode. If you face problem unlocking the Lock Mode, it may happen for stuck control button even when the light isn’t flashing.
